The rains
on Saturday did not stop the fun on Sunday. The festival was
held on Sunday, June 3rd and was a great success. Thank you to
all our sponsors, vendors, businesses, non-profits organizations and
volunteers with your participation in the 19th annual festival.

There
were several raffles, businesses and non-profit organizations
displays to enjoy. The expanded
Craft Fair, featuring a variety of jewelry, hand-crafted items and
kids novelties for sale. As well, Home Depot offered a
kid-friendly craft project for free. The Taunton Gladiators, a local
semi-professional football team offered a playful Punt & Toss
Contest to get bodies moving. The kids area
had plenty of activities available, including a Trackless Train, two Moonwalks, strolling Balloon
artist, Chip Rascal, and great storyteller fun by Big
Ryan.
Each June, the Neighborhood Corporation
presents its signature
event, the Taunton River Festival, at Taunton's Weir Riverfront
Park, East Water Street, Taunton. This daylong, family-oriented community celebration features
live entertainment, food court, games, crafts, educational exhibits, and
children's activities. Admission is FREE.
